Help Shape the Future of Skydiving in the UK

British Skydiving is inviting members to step forward and contribute their experience, ideas and enthusiasm to the leadership of our organisation. We’re looking for seven individuals who want to play an active part in advancing and protecting the sport we all share, helping to ensure its long-term sustainability, safety and success.

As we deliver on our Strategic Plan 2023–2027, we’re also looking for people who can help us evolve by strengthening how we operate, introducing fresh perspectives and supporting the continued development of British Skydiving as a modern, member-driven association.

Whatever your background or area of experience, whether that’s practical knowledge of the sport, teamwork, communications, safety, planning, organisation or simply a desire to help steer the sport into the future, your contribution could make a real difference.

What’s Involved

This is a voluntary role. Members who join our Board of Directors typically contribute around:

• 8 hours per month on organisational matters
• 4 additional hours per month for any committee or working group you take part in
• 2 days per year representing British Skydiving at events, ideally at a Drop Zone other than your home DZ

Most work is carried out virtually, with three in-person meetings each year, including the AGM and inaugural session.

Who Can Apply

We’re looking for members who are thoughtful, constructive and ready to help shape the future of our sport. You don’t need previous board or committee experience; what matters most is sound judgement, a collaborative mindset and the willingness to get involved.

You must also be eligible to serve as a company director under the Companies Act 2006 (i.e. not bankrupt, no unspent convictions for dishonesty or fraud, and not disqualified by a court).
